Reminder: Current Status: Level 2 – Significant Drought, Lawn Irrigation Prohibited

Weir River Water System Posted on August 31, 2026

Current Status: Level 2 – Significant Drought

  • Lawn Irrigation Prohibited

  • Essential Hand Held Watering Allowed

As water tank levels remain critically low, we want to remind residents that the Weir River Water System will remain under Level 2 restrictions through the month of September.

We are seeing a significant drop in water levels between the hours of 3:00-8:00 a.m., which indicates the impact of automatic lawn watering. The levels of Accord Pond and our wells continue to be affected by the drought conditions.

It is important to maintain adequate tank levels for both potable drinking water and fire protection for our communities.

Please continue to follow local watering restrictions as set forth by the WRWS

We thank you in advance for your cooperation and support while addressing this, as it is important to maintain adequate tank levels for both potable water and fire protection.

All violations and fines will be enforced.

  • First Violation – Written Notice and $50.00 fine
  • Second Violation – Written Notice and $100.00 fine
  • Subsequent Violations – Termination of service, $100.00 fine, reactivation fees
