The Hingham Historical Society is hosting a free preview screening and community discussion of The American Revolution, the highly anticipated new PBS documentary series from award-winning filmmakers Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt.
This special event offers a 46-minute sneak peek of the twelve hour series before it premieres on PBS on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 8pm. Representatives from the Hingham Historical Society, the Town of Hingham, Hingham Public Schools, and Revolution 250 will participate in each screening to welcome guests and moderate a Q&A and community discussion following the film.
Screening Schedule:
- Thursday, November 13 | 4 PM & 7 PM – Loring Hall Cinema, 65 Main Street, Hingham
- Friday, November 14 | 11 AM – Linden Ponds Performing Arts Center, 300 Linden Ponds Way, Hingham (fully accessible)

Linden Ponds is a private residential community. Non-residents wishing to attend the screening at Linden Ponds on Friday, November 14th, must register below. Your name will be on a list at the community entrance. Linden Pond residents are encouraged to register but it is not required.
Limit two seats per registrant and please include guest name in order notes.
