Hingham Town Clerk Carol Falvey wants to remind residents of important dates leading up to the November 5th state and federal election, as well a “dos and don’ts” at the polls.
On Tuesday, November 5th, Hingham residents will go to the polls to cast their votes for President and Vice President of the United States, Senator and Representative in Congress, as well as State Senator and State Representative, and several state ballot questions.
Early in-person voting will take place at the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall on Central Street, beginning on Saturday October 19th. Early In-Person times are as follows:
- Saturday, October 19th, 10AM to 4PM
- Tuesday, October 22nd, 8AM to 7PM
- Thursday, October 24th, 8AM to 5PM
- Saturday, October 26th, 10AM to 4PM
- Monday, October 28th, 8AM to 5PM
- Tuesday, October 29th, 8AM to 7PM
- Wednesday, October 30th, 8AM to 5PM
- Thursday, October 31st, 8AM to 5PM
- Friday, November 1st, 8AM to 5PM
The voting locations on November 5th are:
- Precincts 1-4, Hingham High School
- Precincts 5-7, Hingham Middle School
- Precinct 7A, Linden Ponds
Clerk Falvey also wants to remind voters that Massachusetts law (MGL 54:65) prohibits signs, clothing (including hats, t-shirts, and face coverings), and buttons or stickers which might bear the name of any candidate on the ballot, or that address a ballot question, within 150 feet of the entrance to a polling place.
“We thank the voters in advance both for exercising their right to vote and for their cooperation, and to let them know the Town Clerk’s Office is here to answer any questions voters might have,” said Falvey.
