August 31 marks International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD), the world's largest annual campaign to end overdose. It's a day to remember loved ones who have died from drug overdose, acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind, and remind those who use drugs and people in recovery that they are valued.
Hingham Health Department will have purple ribbons available Wednesday 8/30 and Thursday 8/31 in the Town Hall entrance, Police Department and Health Department for any resident or employee who would like to wear a ribbon.
