At the Select Board meeting on June 13, 2023, the Board presented Hingham resident Janine Suchecki with a Certificate of Recognition for her work with women veterans after she was nominated for a prestigious state award. The Select Board’s citation reads as follows:
“The Select Board, on behalf of the Town of Hingham, hereby takes this opportunity to congratulate you, Janine Suchecki, on your nomination for the prestigious Deborah Sampson Award. We recognize your exemplary contributions as a U.S. Navy Veteran, Hingham resident, and long-serving Town volunteer to support fellow members of the Veterans’ community, especially through outreach efforts to women Veterans, promotion of tax relief programs, and connecting residents with mental health resources. You have made a substantial difference in the lives of local Veterans and their families and we are deeply grateful for your continued service to the community.”
