Overview: The South Shore Country Club (SSCC), owned by the Town of Hingham since 1988, features a championship 18-hole golf course, a 10-lane candlepin bowling alley, three golf simulators, golf practice area, Raffael’s restaurant, banquet and conference facilities, and the Greenside Grille that are open to the public daily for both Hingham residents and our neighbors.

- How can I make a tee time?
The golf course is open to the public by making tee-time reservations five days in advance. Tee-times are easy to schedule online.

- How can I sign up my child for a camp or golf lessons?
SSCC has a partnership with Hingham Recreation to provide golf lessons for both adults and children throughout the year. - How do I book a birthday party for the bowling alley?
The bowling alley is open to the public for parties, events, and public bowling. To book a party call 781-749-1747 Option 3.
What should residents know about SSCC?
- Our elevated greens and varying topography provide a unique and ever-changing golfing experience. Whether you're a new golfer or a seasoned veteran, you'll enjoy 18 holes of beauty and challenge at SSCC.
- Our three golf simulators are available 365 days a year!
- Ladies Nights golf lessons are available through the summer months.
- We host bowling leagues from Monday through Friday night, from September to April.
We are always looking to make SSCC the best in the area. Currently, we are working to improve the physical plant by upgrading the facilities, beginning with roofing and HVAC projects.
Employee Spotlight - Meet Kevin Whalen!
Kevin is the SSCC’s Executive Director and has been in that position since 2018. As Executive Director, Kevin is responsible for the overall running of the club. But foremost, he’ll tell you that he works with his team, including the golf pros and superintendent, to ensure all users and visitors to the SSCC have an enjoyable experience.
As part of our efforts to make Town Government more accessible to residents, Hingham will spotlight each Town department throughout the year. Our goal is to educate citizens about the inner workings of their local administration and the many responsibilities it holds.
