Battle of Grape Island Tribute - Sunday, May 16th
Please tune in on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM on Harbor Media's Public Channel, Verizon HD 2131 and Comcast 97, for the premiere of the video tribute commemorating the Battle of Grape Island.
On Sunday morning, May 21, 1775, a British force landed on Grape Island and began loading their boats with hay and livestock obtained from the farm of Hingham Loyalist Elisha Leavitt. The Hingham militia exchanged fire with the British and drove them from Grape Island.
